The little things. Well, one of them.

The loyal and long-suffering readers of my Blips with know that amongst the many bands I like, there are a handful that have a particularly special place in my heart, and one of those is Shriekback.

I know they feature at least twice in my Blips passim for their live concerts at the Shepherd's Bush Empire and in Lewes. I don't know when they last played live prior to these gigs and worries me a little that I might never see them play live again.

Anyway, one of the things I enjoy about modern life is the facility to support bands I love through crowdfunding activities and sites like Patreon. And, of course, it's nice when your support is noted and appreciated.

It doesn't take much. Today I received the new Shriekback album through the post along with a three disk pack of live recordings from the early eighties that was available to those participating in the crowdfunder. As you can see, Barry Andrews has written "Hi Fenner! B" on the packaging. It's not much but it made my day.
