A Candy Cane Christmas, Rochester

Just has a quietish day today buying a few more Christmas bits and pieces and then we had a little trip over to Rochester for lunch at the Cheese Rooms. It was just as good as the last time we went. We then had a little walk around and saw that there was a big funfair in the grounds of the castle so that's where I took today's shot. I liked that the inflatable arches looked almost exactly like candy canes.
It's been a good week of relaxation, trips out, lie-ins, exercise and the odd visit to a pub or three! Unfortunately, I have to go back to work on Monday (boo!) and have been told by my employers that I will now have to do a lateral flow test every day before coming into work. I think this is something that should have been introduced to workplaces months ago as it would almost certainly have led to fewer infections and fewer people having to isolate.
As for the party that wasn't a party where all guidelines were followed but weren't on a day when we were in Tier 3 that wasn't Tier 3 and is being investigated even though it didn't take place - what more can you say?!! This is the worst shambles of a government ever run by a man who has now told so many lies that he is lost in his own world of dangerous idiocy. What amazes me is that so many Tories thought he would be any different - it's been staring them in the face right from the very beginning.
