Lizard Points, Aylesford
First time this year I've had a whole week off and wouldn't you know it the weather is supposed to be bloody awful! However, me and my brother decided we were not going to let it stop us and decided to pop down to Rye for lunch. First of all, though, we stopped off in Tenterden for a coffee and a slice of cake, both of which were excellent. Of course, by then it had already started raining and it din't stop for much of the rest of the day.
Rye was quiet, wet and freezing cold but it was still great to be there! I was hoping against hope that the weird, strangle little antique shop I had visited before was open this time so I could see if it had another lizard. I almost jumped for joy (if I hadn't been shivering too much!) when I discovered it was open and even more delighted when I found out they had a gorgeous green lizard that would compliment the brown one I'd bought many months previously. Today's shot is the two of them facing off in the first multiple exposure I've taken in many, many years. I'm pretty chuffed with the result.
Once the new green lizard was safely bubble wrapped by the shop owner we proceeded to a nearby pub for a fish finger butty and a pint of beer. Very nice it was too. On the way back we stopped off at Chapel Down Vineyard to get a case of their delicious cider for Christmas.
