We've just said an emotional goodbye to our cleaning lady, who has been looking after our house for us for the last fourteen years. She's going back to Portugal because housing is too expensive here, but I don't think Brexit helped. We will miss her terribly.

The woods were rather bleak today with bare trees and huge spaces where there used to be undergrowth. At least the sun came out, for a while anyway.
