Flowing By
Light snow throughout the day kept me indoors, until I could put off going outside no longer. Although the flurries had abated, out in the cold it was windy and inspiration for photography was somewhat lacking.
Down by the water I found the wind blowing foam into the inlet which was further funnelled by accumulating ice along the shore. It was getting dark and foam streaked in the image as the water flowed. Playing about with shutter settings, I chose this image at 4.5 seconds, producing an extreme contrast between moving and static elements.
Then it was a case of deciding on the balance of water and ice, perhaps this one is too evenly split?
