Dog gone......

Not the best of days but busy none the less.
Kev off , Gareth away to a funeral so me myself and I . Cattle fed then the mechanic turned up to sort an add blu fault on the wee Claas tractor. Turns out a £400 sensor in the exhaust was knackered after only 2000 hrs. Error codes and the dash lit up like a Christmas tree. He’s got it sorted now, but no doubt a large bill next month.
The farm assurance inspector turned up at the same time so showed him round both farms then left him going through all the records as the vet had arrived to put my old collie dog to sleep. She hasn’t been able to stand for the last few days , but has done not bad at over 15 years old .
Once everyone had left, set to digging a hole for her beside all the other collies buried down the front drive.
Spent the afternoon hauling more heifers home from next door then once everyone was home from work/ school/ uni gave her a final hurl down on the quad bike and buried her. Will miss her as I will have spent more time with my dog every day than I do with my family !
Still got the lab and terrier though so not all bad .
