What a Beauty
Overcast and cool in morning, in mid 50s F during the day. Our kitties often eat too fast and get sick shortly afterward. They ate at 3:45 am this morning. After getting up, there was no going back to sleep right away. Finally dozed off a bit before 8. Kristen woke me up around 8 to ask if I could get Chase from school because they had electrical problems. Must be serious because school is closed again tomorrow. We treated ourselves to donuts. This sharp looking vehicle was sitting in a field on the way home so I decided to share it with you. The window sign says it’s a 1941 Willys Kit car, a new one for me. Found this info on line about these cars: “The Willys Coupe is the hot rod equivalent of the ultimate performance machine. It is the Summer of '41 car for all seasons. These cars ruled the dragstrips of the '50s and '60s. Sure, they were modified, but the body was all Willys.” You can have your own Willys for only $32,000. We will be attending my aunt and cousin’s inurnment Mass and repast tomorrow. I am furnishing cookies and potato salad which I made between taxi services. Hubby had a good physical therapy session and his knee felt really warmed up when they were finished. He thinks the swelling is down and can move easier although it still hurts a lot. I shopped (again) for stocking items and ordered pizza for dinner-yum. Grabbed our Thanksgiving turkey breast that my sister found at a reasonable price, considering current ridiculous food costs. It’s 7:00 pm and I am ready for a break. Thanks for visiting and leaving stars and comments . Really appreciate your concern for hubby. As he said today, no pain, no gain. Stay safe. “A muscle is like a car. If you want it to run well early in the morning, you have to warm it up.” —Florence Griffith Joyner
