Swanning around

Slept well, woke before 7,  quick bathroom visit, then back into bed for another hour. 

Before I left I put the sofrito and browned mince into a cast iron oven dish, covered it with chopped tomatoes and beef stock, sealed sith teo layers and foil and clamoed thr lid on, low heat for 3 hours should see it soft and ready for my lasagne tomorrow.. I was in the car and off to meet some old friends of ours for two hours, a couple of lovely coffee in a local hotel….besides a golf course,  very nice on a very chilly but gloriously sunny morning. We had a lovely catch up. I was soon on my way back home. 

I quickly stopped off at Pennington Flash as I had my camera in the boot of the car…….just grabbed a handful of shots,  this one wasnt too bad, lovely light I thought. 

Made a wholempeal pitta stuffed with feta, ham, tomatoes and spring onions for my lunch, with a mushroom cuppa soup. Next I was on to clearing away lots of old receipts, shredded them, then dusted, wiped down the shutters, polished and hoovered……the lounge, the dining room, the downstairs loo, changed the bed in the bedroom where I was sleeping.  before I moved back into my room. 

Made a sweet n sour stir-fry with vermicelli noodles, pork fillet and fresh pineapple, very tasty.

The. I went nextdoor for a catch up with D&E, had a lovely coffee and a brandy……..reminded me that tomorrow we would have been flying off for our month in Tenerife, always went the first Friday after thr clocks went back…….how I will miss our times together out there :-(
