Coat of many colours
Later to bed than I intended………but slept well, woke up feeling warm, popped to themloo, the heating had come on, so it must have been chilly, it was 6.40am……got back in bed dozed, then got up at 7.50.Nice sunny morning, chilly though.
I was out into the car and down town before 10am, got the shopping I wanted, put that back into the car then went into Costa for my morning treat ;-)
Back home, shopping away, next job was to sweep up all the fallen leaves, from h driveway, the front lawn, the roadside, the side path……finally disposed of the hanging baskets fuschias, cut them back hard and have out them in a sheltered spot, will see how they fair over the winter.
Also pulled up the old foxgloves…..almost filled the green bit, which will be emptied tomorrow. Snapped our youngest but biggest acer as the leaves are really turning now……thought it looked lovely in the sunlight.
Next was an attempt to sort out the new monitors delivered for work, no success……the power leads are. it compatible with any adapter I have. Have to wait for someone from IT to get back to me!
Started work about 12.45………found out that my boss is planning on returning to work n t week niw, rather than the week after, less for me to keep an eye on I suppose. The afternoon whizzed by, was dark no sooner had I started, or so it seemed, logged off at 5.10…..no further on with the IT Guys :-(
After a quick was & brush up drove to daughters, traffic was really backed up……took me 30 mins, only 2/3 miles! Had a lovely tea, we were all fairly tired, daughters had a busy couple of days, work wise, not been sleeping well, missng her dad, resulting in a tired and tearful girl, in need of some TLC…hopefully a good night sleep will see her feeling better tomorrow. We played rummikub after dinner, Em won, Daughter won, and I won…..poor Simon still not broke his duck ;-)
Drove home, Got changed into my comfy clothes, then decided to make the sofrito base for a meal I will make when my friend comes on Friday. Will brown the meat tomorrow and then slow cook in the oven after that.
Ultimately it will be a lasagne, but this is just the meat and tomato part.
Ive bitten the bullet and paid the fee for Probate, that NS&I have insisted on,
filled out the on line forms, have now got the remainder of the paperwork done, just need to copy and post it……then it supposedly will take another couple of months. Hopefully this is the last thing I have to sort out. By the time this is over, it will have taken all of 9 months to get to this point :-/
As they say, tomorrow is another day………
