Escape!

After another long, but more rewarding day at the workhouse, I left at 4pm to make my way to Gourock.

Forgetting the recent severe snow, I casually headed over the A68...there were still feet of snow ploughed up at the sides of the road!! It was a beautiful sight looking over the hills - you could hardly separate the hills from the sky. The sheep were grazing on the very small patches of grass that had come through. I wonder how the lambs are doing in this?

3 hours later I arrived. M&D were delighted to see me and always give me such a heart warming welcome. I was so very tired, I had to try hard not to nod off. I gave in at 8.30 - shame on me!! Thank goodness for this blip taken the moment I arrived!
