Arrochar Alps!
The view this afternoon with the sun shining on the top of the far away Arrochar hills - just breathtaking!
Day One of the hols - and very lovely indeed. The work clock still ticking... I was awake at 5am, so nipped out for a few very early morning shots! I had a wee walk along the front and onto the shore. I had a lovely leisurely start to the day - and it just went on and on!!
Took the parentals to The Beacon in Greenock. Was rather astounded on the way out when dad announced to the CEO that he was a founding member of the old Arts Guild (The Beacon is the new one!). He chatted away about the old days and impressed her to the extent that she gave us a wee tour!! I really do forget how old he is and how many associations he has around Greenock. For many of his past associations and clubs, he is the oldest surviving member! His mind is as sharp as a tack and when he starts, it is captivating!
Spent the afternoon knitting and spinning - bliss. No interruptions and far enough away not to think about work! More bliss!
