Turkish Tent

A trip to Painshill this afternoon - one of my favourite places.
Created in the 18th Century by Charles Hamilton, he took his ideas for the gardens and follies from his Grand Tour of Europe. The main blip is the Turkish Tent, the final stop where his guests would have enjoyed the views across the park. It was originally made from brick, wood, canvass and papier maché but when it was reconstructed, brick wood and fibre glass were used.
The extras are another view of the Tent, the Temple of Bacchus and also the Gothic Tower.
