Lock flight
Today W and I continued our walk on the Kennet and Avon canal and saw the flight of 29 locks at Caen Hill. An engineering masterpiece.
There was one boat that was assisted all the way up by Waterways staff. Sadly we only saw it at the very top after it arrived, as we were sheltering from the rain in the cafe having a toasted tea cake!
There were a couple of herons keeping watch at some of the locks.
The extra is of some neatly moored narrow boats at the wharf.
