Halloween looms

Woke early, but managed to go back to sleep, up just before 8.15am, yet another dark damp morning. Decided I would get out for a decent walk this morning before work. Had breakfast and a cuppa…….had dressed for my walk, but the rain really started to pour down, so much so, that I ended up going down to town in the car, again! 

Called to the jewellers to collect my ring, decided not to go ahead and have a replacement emerald fitted, as they cant source the pale green siberian emerald that was in it, before I lost it :-( Hub bought it for me, so I know I wont love it the same, if it looks different!  Had a new battery put into another of my watches. 

Next I called into the “nice” card shop, wanted a decent wedding card, also got 5 granddaughter xmas cards whilst I was in there! 

I had my bodywarmer on and my cagoule over the top, my hood and my brolly up, was still soaked, so nothing for it……a nice warming coffee was what I needed ;-)  A quick dash back to the car, afterwards then home to sort things before work. 

I had soup and a pocket thin, with tuna and cucumber on it for my lunch, then took myself upstairs to my “office” ………and before I knew it it was 4.45!!  Boy do I have an achey neck……still no sign of my big screen & keyboard. 

Next I hopped in to the car, drove round to daughters for our tea and games night……she had made a big toad in the hole for tea, I enjoyed it, with plenty of gravy too!  We played a different game tonight, called Taboo, we all enjoyed it, Emily was at a slight disadvantage, but she was a good sport. We also had an icecream lolly for dessert, of the salted caramel chocolate covered type…..really nice, but we all felt a bit sick afterwards lol! 

Todays blip is a quick shot of just one of daughters many Halloween things she will be dressing her house with for the halloween party she holds each year.  Most of them are movement sensitive, so make you jump……think I will be hopeless lol! 

When I went out to the car to drive home, around 9,  a really clear sky, full moon, the temperature had dropped to 7 degrees, felt really chilly, had to boost the heating for an hour when I got in. 

I am just watching the new series of Shetland….. always enjoy it! 

Im looking forward to a trip into Manchester tomorrow, meeting my long time girlfriends for lunch, which will be lovely, but looks like only 5 of 8 of us though.
