Grey with white feathers

A bit late to bed……but slept well, woke just before the alarm at 7.45, was still really dark, opened the shutter to peak out, was pouring down, again! 

A quick shower and into my gym gear as I was booked in for a Pilates class at the gym at 9.15, small cup of tea, half a banana and a satsuma, and I was off out the door. 

Class was tough, only just recovered from last weeks abdominals lol!  Anyhow, survived, went for a quick coffee on my way back.  Back home,  decided what I might have for my dinner tonight,  but that would depend on what I had for lunch, as I was meeting a camera club friend.

Got myself washed, changed, titivated my hair, a bit of light makeup…….looked presentable lol, back in the car, drove towards Manchester to meet for 1pm.  We had a lovely long lunch, plenty of chat, great food, made some plans for future get togethers too. B enjoys DJ’ing, has her own decks, she is now starting out as a photographer for a living too. She and her husband also present an Internet Vinyl radio show every Tuesday evening……I tuned in tonight for the first time, really enjoyed the mix of music and she played my request, The Elgins, Heaven must have sent you :-) and gave me a shout out. I called to have a quick catch up with daughter on my way back home, we didnt get long but it was as Granddaughter Em called for a “taxi” to collect her from Macdonalds, where she had been straight after school ;-) Ni doubt we can pick up tomorrow at our Tea and Games night.

Ive had bacon medallions, egg, tomatoes & mushrooms for my tea…….well, it was almost 8pm  by the time I was feeling hungry.  After tea I decided to clean the cooker……not the oven, thats a whole different ball game, need more time to tackle that, then bleached and cleaned the sinks, not that they were filthy or anything,  seemed a good idea, bit random for 8.30 on Tuesday evening, think the music motivated me.  I would normally be at the pub quiz but not tonight, as D&E are away for a couple of nights in York. 

No opportunities for photography today, so you have my new bedroom, newly decorated, new headboard, new bedding, bedside lamps, pink furry cushion and the grey and white feather cushion, which is the one I had made using 3 of hubs favourite shirts. The reverse side is a patchwork of all 3 patterns. Completely coincidental that the wallpaper we chose together back in August 2020, is silver grey with white feathers, which now holds much more significance, matches the cushion, which includes his favourite holiday shirt, grey with white feathers <3 !!! 

I still haven't moved back into “our” room, but will do shortly as its all ready with its new look, feels like it will be more “my” room now. 

Have just watched Our Yorkshire Farm……hub so loved that programme, particularly little Clemmy…….:-) such a little character!
