Ding dong

You have to ring a bell when you buy a car in our local VW showroom. 

Yep we’ve gone electric. But the excitement is limited as there is a six month wait for delivery due to a worldwide shortage of parts and chips. No sweat. Spring will be a good time to get some new wheels.

Today was interesting. Men came to fix the hole in the kitchen ceiling. It now looks like a battleground of course; bare walls, dangling electrics, a patina of dust everywhere. Halfway through the morning a lorry turned up with a portable toilet on it. Overkill or what? Standard procedure in a time of Covid apparently. We sent it back to Winchester from whence it came. This is a bit of work in one room not a building site.

The weather is turning. The days are shortening.I bought a new winter coat yesterday. Basically a duvet with arms and a hood. Think I will need it this year.
