Between fen and mountains

Quarter peal

We had a visiting ringer, a student from Nottingham University on placement in Avignon, who travelled all the way to join us for practice last night and a quarter peal today. We successfully rang a quarter peal of Grandsire doubles and Plain bob minor. Afterwards we all went out for a meal at the local restaurant which was serving its usual Indian fare, plus tapas and fish and chips. Mrs TT and I shared the fish and chips and three of the tapas, all of which were very good. We are now awaiting the arrival of our niece who we have not seen for about ten years. She lives and works in Paris and is on holiday in the region so she and her boyfriend will stop over for a couple of nights.
