Squashes

The squash season is upon us and the squashes make a colourful display on the market stalls. I made some junket in the morning then was pleased to receive a call asking me to play in a doubles match this afternoon. The other were  better players than me but I did not disgrace myself and in fact we won the match on a a super tie-break, 6-2, 6-7, !0-7. I then went on to the church as we had visitors from Perpignan who had come to hear the bells rung. Those who wanted were taken up into the belfry. We rang some rounds and call changes and were applauded each time we finished. That does not happen in the UK!
