Bleak, Dreich, Dire

A "powerful atmospheric river" was in our forecast and it has arrived! You might be able to see the rain in the main photo and in the extra. I took this through the bedroom window and it's lovely to see those pops of colour in the leaves on such a dull day. Not much colour left in the garden, and what is left is completely soggy and ready to be put in the compost weather when we get a dry day. I added an extra of the South African basil and a pot of geraniums on the patio, past their prime for sure. I'm amazed that the little basil plant is still flowering at the tips!  
Looking forward to watching Kalyn's team play this afternoon. The team won last Thursday night's match in three sets, 25-19, 25-21, 25-19. Really hoping for a win today! They're playing at home and will be again next weekend. We'll be going over to watch those ones. Going over two weeks in a row would be too much so it's great that we can stream the games!
