Low tide

It was only when I downloaded the photo that I noticed the heron. I went down to the river for a change of scenery having delivered a couple of clocks on a home visit and looking at a couple of returned clocks. As people get less used to mechanical clocks, they sometimes return clocks that have no faults. Sometimes it is even because they have not realised that grandma's old clock actually needs winding up when it stops or they carry a clock around with the pendulum attached and upset the clock's beat. I am sometimes asked to put a battery movement into a fine old clock.  I refuse though as this would be an act of vandalism!
