Balco del Mediterrani
This railing overlooks Tarragona port, beach and Roman amphitheatre. Allegedly touching the railing (tocar ferro) brings good luck. If in Rome…..
More sightseeing in the morning, including a trip to the Tarragona port area. Too hot to walk much, so we headed south and stopped off in L’Amettla de Mar on the way to Valencia. It’s a big fishing town with great beaches and coves to swim in. We had mussels and fish for lunch and then managed a quick swim in one of the nearby coves.
Roadworks and an accident slowed us down on our journey south and then we had to park about 10 mins from the flat and drag all of our luggage through the streets! Lovely to be back in Valencia though and in this gorgeous flat in the old town, next to the Mercat Central. We’ve stayed here before. The host is very generous. He’s given us an excellent long term discount and left us lots of tasty food and drink!
