Squeezed Roundhouse

Mostly sunny, with the odd clouds passing.  Been calm all day, and such a calm, clear night.

Up early, and headed out walkies after breakfast.  Popped by Madeline's for a cuppa.  I'm on late shift this week, so headed down a bit later.   A busy day working in the airport.  Our ATRs went tech, and had to shuffle passengers around to get them all away.  All flights in and out, and we finished on time.  Walkies with Sammy, and now feet up.

Nipped out for lunch, and had a fine view enjoying my sandwiches.  I popped over the fence, and tried to refresh my training that I did here.  So many different buildings on the site here, and different periods going back 6,000 years.  This is part of the roundhouses, dating about 2,000 years ago.  The pillars are part of the structure, later stones added behind to divide the house into small rooms.  This house was squeezed into a small space, with the broch wall at the back, making it not quite so round.  Taken at Old Scatness, Sumburgh.
