Why I love Sutherland (1)

Seedy Sunday today, North West Sutherland Food Link holds this event in Durness Village hall. We have a cafe with home baking, soups, bread and salads. A stall with vegetables, plants, compost, and a table of left-over seeds to swap. Durness diggers, the primary school gardening club, sell seed potatoes to raise money for their gardening needs. It's a good reason to get together to chat about what we're trying this year, and exchange ideas.

Now my blip could have been the stall table laden with goodies, it could have been the children making flowerpot men out of flowerpots, it could have been a table full of scrumptious baking, it could have been the cafe showing people scoffing into goodies, or it could have been the kitchen staff busy at work..

But on the way home, up the Kyle of Durness, this view cried out to be captured. I hope you agree..

Tomorrow I'm having my 'Sunday breakfast' of bacon, egg, mushrooms and fried bread, and catching up with the Archers omnibus..

This will be familiar, it's the originalmusic, and makes me quiver!!
