..up at 6:00, chores done, 7:30 pick up first player, 7:50 drop veges off at hotel, 8:00 pick up 2nd player and drive to Inverness, 9:45 stuck behind wide load on Kessock bridge, 10:00 arrive in time for registration and meet player 3 who made his own way.

About 30 children in all, 3 levels of competition, and 6 games ahead, and could I play against one of them in the first round as they had an odd number.. 6 intense games later, and it's 16:00 and prize giving. Our players did very well in the pressure of competition, unknown players, and time clocks.. All had wins, with B winning 4 of 6 and came 3rd in his competition.

16:30 prize giving and thanks, and back in the car to DIY store for acrylic sheet to replace glass broken on greenhouse in yesterdays storm. Rogie fall and walk Tanni, and Ullapool at 18:15 for fish and burger suppers, a promise if they each won a game!

Drop offs on the way back, and home for 20:45. Shower, chill with a beer, and bed.

Tomorrow: Seedy sunday, cafe and stall with NWS Foodlink, a walk on Balnakiel beach, and then I can put my feet up (after replacing glass in Greenhouse, clearing veg patches, spreading compost, moving and replanting brambles, planting other trees, and....
