Wednesday: On the Beach

Misty start, then a warm sunny day.
Had planned on a last attempt at getting samphire - perfect morning for a walk, but the samphire was disappointing it looked very short and very sorry for itself. Picked a dozen or so short sprigs. 
Chatted with a lady living near the beach who was hanging her washing on the line. Then another chat with someone picking blackberries.
4 buzzards flying high above whilst I ate lunch, had heard them calling to each other long before I could see them.
Our little gang of swallows are still here - whizzing around and chattering with each other. A couple of dozen collected overhead at one stage - beautiful sight!
The builders are back - they gave the chimney it's first coat of cement. It was so nice to see them again - we all had a cup of celebratory coffee :-))
