Skills development
A productive Ramblers training day in Mugdock park practising navigation skills and dealing with ‘difficult situations’. We were all astonished at the kit L carries when she is leading a walk and even more astonished how she fitted it all in a 30 litre backpack. The emergency shelter would be very useful for picnics in uncertain weather. Great fun working out how many paces equal 100m, mine was 70 (probably on account of short legs) my tall friend tallied 65.
Back home to catch up with son #2, partner and dog, and we all spent the evening with son # 1 L, Liv and Islay dog. They are still there, I made my escape just as they started to play some meme game. Past my bedtime, almost.
The blip is Mugdock Castle where we were amused to see several small competent climbers defying the ‘no climbing on the walls’ instruction.
