Strange light

The last hot day of the year.  There was a little rain this evening but then a heavy yellow sunset presumably prefiguring more to come. But what caught my eye was this strange rainbow hanging in the sky, more like a camera flare or a lens flare.  It was probably brighter just before I came out. It was eerie. 

John left, I belted through a lot in the office and Vik cooked clams for supper.
