Traigh nan Gilean
A cold dull morning today and we went for a short walk past Hynish to Traigh nan Gilean. The beach is sand with a large barrier of storm beach pebbles higher up. I liked these rock formations at the edge of the sand, where it looks as though the bedrock has been scoured out by whirling pebbles. The extra is a cormorant that has caught a flatfish --- it must have a very elastic throat because it swallowed the fish whole!
