Kirkwall

A good trip to Kirkwall with a visit to the magnificent St. Magnus Cathedral and The Bishop's and Earl's Palaces.  All these building are bound up in stories of evil characters, killings, greed and everything else you might care to mention!! 
In the evening we had dinner kindly provided by more members of the family staying close by.  We then had a great tour of the many narrow side streets of Stromness, and a trip up Brinkie's Brae which gives a wonderful view across Stromess and the Sound of Hoy.  Thanks so much to 'V' for this.
