Irwell upstream

I find it very hard to sit still and have a phone call. If I can, I pop in my AirPods and do some chores or go for a stroll whilst I'm having the conversation. Thank heavens for mobile phones!

Today I had my morning call with Steve and walked from the new office up into the Greengate area and then back 'round to the Irwell, where I took this photo looking upstream. It looks like the building on the left is relieving itself.

At lunchtime, the Minx and I drove back up to Kirkby Lonsdale to work from there, and then I went down to the Royal Barn for a drink with my friend, Hugo, who was his usual charming and funny self. And I also bumped into a chap whom I first worked with in, I think, 1996, but who now lives in London. Hopefully I'll see him for a pint on Sunday.
