Hope Valley & Eyam
During the morning we walked along the Sett Valley Trail, a former railway line that starts in Hayfield :)
We then drove through the Hope Valley on our way to Castleton where Mr W tried numerous rounds in numerous car parks to find us a space and failed :(
So we drove the very beautiful Snake Pass via the Ladybower reservoir to Glossop for a very late lunch!
Late in the day we visited the village of Eyam, which is famous for going into isolation after the bubonic plague was discovered there in 1665. 260 villagers died and there are many green plagues on cottages detailing the many members of the same family who lost their lives.
