You will have to excuse the continual saga of my life. I appreciate it's not the most cheery of threads but it's helping me to get thoughts out of my head so they're not running around in there. Apologies again for my lack of comments on your journals, I really do appreciate you all checking in with me each day.

The contents loss adjuster came today and we had an instant connection, I honestly felt I had known her for years. She was visibly upset for me given my circumstances and we stood outside after she'd finished and had a lovely chat. No issues at all with my stuff and the carpet that is a through lounge/dining room. She agreed they wouldn't just replace half, even though the dining room appears to have escaped the damage.

One slighty awkward moment when I lifted the cushion to show all the glass on the sofa. Something jumped out at me from behind the cushion, I screamed, she jumped and we grabbed each other ... but it was just a hair bobble!! I'm obviously living on my nerves!

Hopefully everything will be taken away early next week to be disposed of or cleaned/repaired where possible. Once the surveyor arranges the skip and all the rubble/blood stained window frames goes from the garden/inside the house, my brain might start to feel a bit clearer.

Going to work in the office tomorrow with my boss. Will be nice to have access to a toilet and running water!
