Friday Night Out

For the first time in a long time we found ourselves getting spruced up for a night out...showers, pressed clothes and so on. We stepped out on a lovely sunny evening recalling long-lost such earlier events.  The rendezvous was with Mireia and Nigel at Jardins de Silencio, the place being the former gardens of a convent in Gracia, Barcelona, now a civically-owned space for local plant lovers.  

We enjoyed a peaceful wander around with Mireia who is a plant expert and inducted us into the Latin names for everything in sight, before a couple of gin and tonics surrounded by cactus.  A fun walk towards the centre later to find food still being offered in a busy festival area.
