Wonders Will Never Cease

The no smoking on Spanish terraces law has come into force. The one silver lining this whole terrible Covid episode has brought. At last, the 20% of the population who smoke will, in theory, not be able to drive away the non-smokers from the delight of sitting on an open terrace in summer. If you even looked at them (the holders of the cigarettes held away from their own faces but towards yours), they would wrap themselves in the letter of the law . . . 'We have the right to smoke here!'

They did but now don't . . . the problem is that the smokers who until now have cloaked themselves in the law are now giving two fingers to it and smoking away as always!
