The car

I was in the London house while an electrician was doing various repairs to set it all up to let.  I sat on the floor in the front room, there is no furniture there and drank coffee and zoomed.  I was mid zoom in the afternoon when I kept getting a phone call disrupting the image.  When I eventually called back I discovered it was the Petersfield police telling me that Dad’s old Peugeot, which I’d left in the station car park was now blocking a very quiet residential lane 500 yards away.  Locked.

I might have left the key in the ignition.

Vik turned up to the house to do some things but we had to go straight back to Hampshire.  Car still there, concerned locals -  we were already the subject of a considerable WhatsApp chain - popped out to discuss squealing tyres at 4am.  Took the car back home with the spare key and Vik reminds me that I can’t park it in the station car park again as the joy riders still have their key.   Will have to get a steering lock.
