I went to Wales today

It stopped raining the moment I crossed the Severn bridge into Wales. Specifically I went to St Fagan’s National Museum of History - where I met my friends from Swansea - it being about halfway.
The main blip is of St Fagan’s castle (more of a manor house than a castle, I would say) , which is a pleasing building I think, surrounded by beautiful gardens.
The museum is amazing. It’s in the massive grounds of the castle  - they have carefully transplanted stone by stone (or brick, or beam) old buildings from all parts of Wales which were becoming derelict, and needed saving because they were beautiful or interesting or of historical value. There’s a church, a water mill, a school, lots of shops, houses and cottages.  They are in the middle of moving a lovely old Victorian pub from Cardiff which is now disused - and a police station.Such a good idea, instead of demolishing things. The extra is of a barn, used for storing crops, not animals, from 1550. The walls are kind of woven strips of wood.
We spent all day there and only saw about half of it.  Oh and there were Iron Age round houses too. Amazing.
