The underside of a Jersey tiger moth

Inspired by lots of blippers, including Andycurrie and pplnani I’ve tried to look more closely at insects, but mostly I find they won’t stay still:) 
This one however, sat on my window for quite a while. I was able to identify it by the faint pattern you can see through its wings. I thought it’s underneath was charming, so complex, and so furry! And somehow it has the look of Wallace (of Wallace and Gromit) if you look a certain way. 
And yes I am ashamed of how dirty my bedroom window looks.
