Passion flower
We are only 332 miles from Portobello, Edinburgh but there is a very different climate here in Gloucestershire. Maybe the warm air that builds up against the Cotswold escarpment is a key factor. We are located below Cleeve Hill which at 1083 ft is the highest point in the Cotswold Hills.
These passion flowers were growing beside the pavement creating an eye catching display on our early evening walk. Perhaps the local council, in common with many across the country, is no longer using pesticide on its pavements and verges?
We listened to the FM this afternoon. Mandatory masks continue north of the border. Interestingly, around here where its no longer mandated the vast majority are conscientiously continuing with their masks in shops and on public transport.
