Warsaw uprising anniversary

Today is a highly significant day in the Polish calendar as memorials all over the Polish capital are festooned in floral tributes to those who bravely hoped to release Warsaw from the Nazi occupation.

Here in Gloucestershire the recent heatwave has brought these brambles, or blackberries, to a very early ripeness. We have plans to pick and freeze some later this week.
