Photo of a photo

This was taken in about 1941 or 42, in a professional studio in Lincoln.  It’s of a hardworking nurse who wanted to send a photo home  to her dad, who was unwell, and missing her.  He had TB and heart problems and died soon after. Amongst others she worked with children who had polio and diphtheria - before the days of vaccines - and also patients who were servicemen from nearby RAF Scampton where the dam-busters were based.
She was my mum and she would have been 99 today.
