Close Encounters of the Bird Kind

I had a very special moment today when I went out to do some gardening. This Sparrowhawk (probably the same one I blipped a week or so ago) landed very close to me on the garage roof. I got a couple of shots on my phone and as it showed no signs of moving off, I went indoors to fetch my camera. Amazingly, it was still there when I went out. I got a few shots, then sat down to enjoy its company for a few minutes more before it flew off. A further shot of the whole bird in extras.
