We took our visitors over to Anglesey as Lorraine asked if we could have a Bertie Bus picnic, and we knew of an area where we'd be able to park and put the awning up, plus it's a nice little town for a wander. The boys also went to doggy day care for the first time at Hafod-y-Bryn, so we went and dropped them off at 9.30am and then we set off for Anglesey.
As it was a pretty dull day, we thought it would be quiet, but we were wrong, it was packed! But luckily we found somewhere overlooking the Menai Strait and we pulled out the awning so we could set up 'camp'. A lady parked near us and she had the same vehicle so she was very interested to see what Alan had done to ours and I think she was quite envious! We went for a wander in the town first which is where we saw this old Ford truck outside an antique shop. Lorraine bought some fresh bread from a bakery and then we wandered back to the cars and set up the table and chairs and I cooked burgers and sausages - we had a few more comments from passers by who fancied a burger, I should have set up a stall lol! We spent a lovely few hours there enjoying the view and there was a yacht race in the strait so that was nice to see.
When we went to pick the boys up they were in the agility area with some other dog and the girl said they had settled in really well which is good seeing as it's their first time. It's a really great place that has three enclosed astro turf areas with agility equipment and the dogs all get plenty of time in there with equivalent sized dogs. We've booked them in again for a Saturday in August, just to get them used to going, as they're also a boarding kennels and the boys are booked in for September when we go to Bath.
Tonight we had a tapas style supper of cheese, pate, salami, etc., and Lorraine and I painted two little coffee tables in the Frenchic paint.
