dramatic weather

Last night we had a terrific thunderstorm that went on and on dumping heavy rain. It was glorious to sleep by the slightly cracked windows and hear the rain on the roof.
This morning was to be more of the same, but the sun prevailed for a bit while the thunder heads built up again. Perfect for a last hike and for packing up the car to head home.
