Blackbird Beady-Eye

When the children were very small there was a series of books I liked to buy. I remember one morning, sitting in the Tudor Café. with the children (or maybe just Rachel) and my mother reading the newly purchased book. The line "Blackbird, beady-eye, eating blackberries." has always stuck in my mind. This blackbird did actually eat the black berries she was eyeing up.

I'd love to see the book again but it can't be traced from that line.

Shed work today. It was finally emptied ready for demolition tomorrow.
