White stuff

It's gone mid March now and still no end to the winter in sight. Snowed all last night and most of today - a few inches of pathetic, slushy, slippery stuff, sleety at times. Still snowing now and set to do the same for the next few days too. Not weather to go out walking in and not very nice to take the buggy out in either.
Ophelia, Arwen and I slithered our way to baby and toddler group this morning and later I went into Grace's school for her open afternoon, where she gleefully showed me her work and read me every page of every book. She's rightfully proud of the progress she's made and it's lovely that she enjoys school so much and works hard, even though she finds handwriting and spelling a challenge. Her reading is way above her age though and her thirst for knowledge insatiable. She's a sweetheart and I'm very proud of her attitude and positivity. We went to meet with her teachers tonight and they clearly love her to bits too. They're aware of her strengths, areas to improve and her personality and learning style, which is reassuring to us as parents.
