Rant Alert II

After (I think) 4 weeks, the Cooncil finally emptied the bins this morning.
"But what's this?" you might say, "Are those not full bins in DaveH's gritty, stark, urban-realist blip?"
"Well, yes they are!" I might reply. "How typically perceptive and wise of you!"

Ya see, the bin-chutes above contained about five vertical metres of stuck rubbish, all of it more than 10 days old (that's when I taped the chutes shut) and in a high state of rot. I spent a fun 2 hours clearing the backlog, but as you can see, this has re-filled the bins to capacity. God alone knows when the council will be back to empty them again.
I talked to some of the guys working on another bin-lorry that came past the building (unfortunately the truck didn't have the correct type of tail-lift to deal with this type of bin). They revealed that many of the new routes that the council had given out to the trucks were too long to be finished in one shift, so some streets were being left out completely.
A complete shambles...
