Sally Mair - Loving life

By Sallymair

Ribbit ribbit

In the spring our neighbours donated some tiny tadpoles to our barren frog pond and look what I spotted today. I felt absurdly happy to see it! There may be more, who knows.
Today's weather was rather more cloudy than yesterday with a bit of a breeze too. It was still in the mid 20's though. We went to church this morning and I was reminded that I was back in a level 2 area as there was no singing. I so enjoyed singing on Iona, even wearing a mask. Still, just another couple of weeks....... The rules change tomorrow but I think we are holding out for one more week just so that some of the other changes bed down a bit and we feel more comfortable.
We spent the afternoon in the garden dead heading the roses. The beds are just covered in petals. I also did some harvesting, blackcurrants, raspberries, broad beans, peas and courgettes.
We had the last three with poached salmon for dinner, delicious.
This evening we watched another of the Ken Stott Rebus, he still isn't quite right for me, but nearer to my idea than John Hannah was, much at I like John Hannah as an actor.
Keep safe and well everybody, level zero tomorrow, it feels like a huge step, I think I'll continue to take small ones at my own rate though.
