Sally Mair - Loving life

Focused

Helping out by knocking all the little black beetles off the neighbour's St John's Wort. She was completely absorbed in her self imposed task.
What a beautiful day it was today, the slight breeze helped to stop the heat from being too oppressive.
I got two full loads of washing washed, dried and put away by lunchtime and my suitcase emptied too. I can never really relax until that is all done.
We sat in the garden for most of the day and I pottered. This afternoon we popped down to see Kathryn, Jon and the girls - catching Kathryn alone for half an hour which is most unusual, so it was good to catch up with her.
This evening we had dinner in the garden which is always a pleasure. It's so good to enjoy home grown lettuce too. Salad bowl types suit us just fine as we can pull as much as we want. We had home grown raspberries for dessert.
I've booked a slot at Craigie Farm on Tuesday to pick some blackcurrants for jelly and cordial. I hope I'll be in time to catch some of their delicious cherries too.
I've heard that we left Iona yesterday at just the right time. Mull remained invisible due to the fog all day yesterday and well into today. Then, just to cap things off, they had no power on Mull or Iona for most of yesterday, it only came back on around 10.30pm.
Keep safe and well everybody, I get the feeling that many think that even though the Scottish figures are dropping, we are in the calm before the storm.
