Sophie The Drama Queen

I’m not sure if enjoyed was quite the right word for how we felt about our final not-the-park run run before breakfast this morning. Let’s just say it was quite an effort in the heat but we made it! Next Saturday sees the return of park run proper but we’ll miss the route that’s become part of our Saturday mornings for the last 16 months.

Kate, Joel & Sophie came over for a BBQ this afternoon. Unfortunately, Chris couldn’t join us as he was pinged on the NHS App first thing, telling him to isolate. Nobody at work has gone down with Covid or been pinged and the only other person he has been in close contact with the last few days is the person who gave him his second vaccination on Thursday, so he assumes it must have been them!

The blip of Sophie is her proudly displaying the certificate and medal she was awarded in her dancing school end of year presentation ceremony, held by Zoom last night. The certificate is for her happy, determined attitude and the medal for being the most promising actor across the whole school. Needless to say we were all very proud. We’ve always said she is a drama queen! We reckon she gets it from Tess’s late Mum who had a bit of a career as a dancer and actress in the 50s. She would have been thrilled to know that Sophie loves dancing and acting too.
