here comes the rain again

Fi and I had just reached Johnnie Turner's Monument when it began to rain. Up until this point, the morning had been warm and humid, but dry. We didn't really mind, just put on our waterproofs, ate our packed lunches and headed back down to Glenkiln in the pouring rain. We're both used to having dogs in the car so had towels to sit on driving back home.

I'm getting used to taking selfies now, having previously shied away from putting my face in front of the camera. It's a way of showing how happy I am to be alive, almost sixty and still able to get out walking. After a mishap or two, I know the value of celebrating every day, and the importance of friends and family. Life is the Great Adventure :-)

So that's me. I'm off to drumming now.

Today's walk: Turner's Monument with Fi 4.9 miles
